Volunteer

Volunteers are needed! Please contact the convention chairs at chair@nss2010.com if you would like to help out.

  • Program Chair - This person will be responsible for scheduling and seeing to the needs of all the business meetings such as the BOG, COG, etc.
  • Salon Support Chair - This person is responsible for seeing to the needs and set up of the salons. These include the Print, Graphic, Cartographic, Speleo Arts, and the big one The Photo Salon.
  • Field Trip Chair- Responsible for planning and overseeing field trips during convention week.
  • JSS Facility manager - responsible for getting volunteers to chaperone the JSS participants using the facility in the evenings. Possible some day coverage as well. Also the volunteers will be selling ice and possibly ice cream. Volunteers will need to be responsible for monetary funds.

  • Caver Coop Coordinator (formerly Consignment Sales). This person is in charge of logging in the materials, coordinating the schedule of the sellers, and providing an accounting of the sales to the sellers and the Convention. You do not have to staff the Coop yourself. 600 sq. ft. space and tables at prime location provided in the main vendor hall. Sellers are incentivized to work shifts and keep more of their proceeds. If no seller volunteers scheduled, the Coordinator is not obligated to keep the Coop open.
