Vermont

The name "Vermont" comes from the French words "monts verts", which means the green mountains. Vermont covers 9,615 square miles, making it 45th in size to the 50 states. Vermont is the second least populous state in the US and is the only New England state that does not border the Atlantic Ocean. The tallest mountain in Vermont is Mt Mansfield at 4393ft above sea level, which is within 45 minutes of the convention site.

It is 400 feet deep at its greatest depth, and reported, even since the 1600s, as being the home of a sea monster. Over 300 sightings have been reported.
