PRESENTATIONS: Anyone interested in doing a presentation in a session should contact the appropriate chair and let them know what you want to present. You should tell them the subject of the presentation, the time you need, and any audio/visual equipment you will need. You should also provide an abstract in most cases. If you are unsure what session is appropriate for your presentation you can ask the Session Chairs.
ABSTRACTS: Anyone doing a presentation should provide an abstract, up to 250 words, for the Convention Program. Please be sure that is a summary of your conclusions and results, not merely a statement of what you are going to talk about. Properly written abstracts will also be considered for publication in the Journal of Cave and Karst Studies.
ADDITIONAL SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS: Additional sessions, workshops, or other activities are welcome. If you are interested in organizing an activity please notify Bob Hoke (bob@rhoke.net) so he can get the activity in the schedule. You should also fill out a facilities questionnaire so the Convention staff will know what your activity will require. A PDF version of the questionnaire is here.
SESSION SCHEDULE: A draft schedule will be sent to the session chairs in late February or early March.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Abstracts should be submitted to the appropriate session chair. You should also say how much time and what audio/visual equipment you will need. The session chairs need to send all their session’s abstracts, and a session schedule, to the Program Editor by June 1, therefore all abstracts need to be submitted to the appropriate session chair sometime before that date.
QUESTIONS? If you have questions about sessions please contact the Session Co-chairs at sessions@nss2010.com
